MILAN – The decision to green-light the Portello area of the city for Milan’s new stadium has been making the headlines in the Italian press.
CEO Barbara Berlusconi hailed “an historic day” after the Fondazione Fiera approved their bid to build a new arena complex in Portello
AC Milan have been given the green light to begin plans for a new stadium complex to be ready for the 2018-19 season.
She is also excited for the financial benefits of the move, which she believes could total an income of between €50 million and €80m every year.
“This is the first historic step to make Milan like London,” Berlusconi said to reporters.
