Hi ladies. These are african locs styles for natural hair lovers. Locs are also known as dreadlocks, dreads, they are ropelike strands of hair formed by braids or braided hair. They can also be formed by a technique called twist and rip, as well as backcombing and rolling. Locs gives you the opportunity to be free from brushing, combing or cutting your hair. African Locs styles will improve your hair growth and we will also be sharing various ways to style your locs.

Various methods are used to promote the formation of locs such as backcombing, braiding, bearing and crochet hook method. All of these methods require uninterrupted work to be applied to locs before it becomes tidy and firm. However, when crochet hook method is applied by a skillful hand, then the resulting dreadlocks are immediately tight and will not need to roll.

There is also the possibility of accepting different types of fake dreadlocks that can make hair look as real as possible. It’s called synthetic dreadlocks. There are two different types of synthetic dreadlocks. The first is dread extensions, in which other hair can be infused with the wearer’s own hair. The second is dreadfalls, in which one fear is bound in another with either elastic or lace. These two methods are used to make dreadlocks look better and more attractive, and to achieve the desired effect of beautiful longer hair.

  1. Pls how can I loc my hair at home. I base in sokoto and no one here knows how to loc hair pls I need your help. Regards

  2. I’ve always began with clean, well conditioned hair. ( Despite my many people’s belief, dirt makes your hair grow or helps your hair loc. I have used three similar methods all involved parting hair into squares, diamonds or freestyle part.. and begin twisting. natural hair within that “square”. You can single strand twist, double strand twist or braid each “square” to single strand twist i use a barber’s comb since it is the smallest tooth comb available & Will set up the tightest coil available.
