A braid hairstyle with weave is created through the process of weaving pieces of artificial or real hair into one’s existing hair, which is in order for the hair to increase in its length and thickness. A weave typically is a manner or techniques in which something is woven.

- Strand by strand: in this method the hair would be divided into small sections, the divided sections would now be braided a little or more. Finally the hair extensions will be sewn or wrapped with threads to make it strong.
- Bending: This is a process in which the hair extensions are glued to the shaft of the hair very close to the scalp.
